Horrible news from iran(some parts are being used exactly from the article mentioned):”Iran’s regime executed two men based on anti-gay charges.”
“The Islamic Republic of Iran continued its lethal homophobic policy, executing on Sunday two men based on its anti-gay Sharia law system. The two Iranian men, Mehrdad Karimpou and Farid Mohammadi, were killed in the Maragheh prison in northwestern Iran, according to the organization Human Rights Network in Iran. The men were arrested six years ago.
Iran’s regime frequently uses the charge of sodomy to impose the death penalty on gays and lesbians. According to a 2008 British Wikipedia dispatch, Iran’s theocratic state executed between 4,000 and 6,000 gays and lesbians since the country’s 1979 Islamic revolution. Human Rights Network in Iran said the Iranian regime-controlled media has not reported on the executions of the two men based on the country’s anti-gay law.
“The Ayatollah regime in Iran just executed two gay men for the crime of sodomy in Iran,” The Iranian-American journalist Karmel Melamed tweeted. He added their pictures and asked, “Where’s the outrage from US Secretary of State Antony Bliken, GLAAD [an NGO that promotes LGBTQ acceptance] & other LGBT groups in the US to this horrific crime?!”
Peter Tatchell, an LGBTQ+ and human-rights campaigner, told “The Jerusalem Post”: “Iran is one of a dozen Muslim-majority countries and regions that enforce Sharia law and impose the death penalty for homosexuality. The execution of these men follows a long-standing regime policy of the state-sanctioned murder of gay men, often on disputed charges after unfair trials that have been condemned by Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch.
The British activist Tatchell said: “The international community must impose sanctions on the regime officials, judges and prison staff who authorized these executions – and on those responsible for the many other human rights cases of abuse in Iran, including the hanging of peaceful Kurdish, Baluch and Ahwazi Arab activists on fake terrorism charges.”

I have already talked about this topic on one of my articles which is related to lgbtq rights in Islam. But now I will review the main anti-gay parts in the Islamic scriptures again:
Sharia law is based on Quran and Islamic scriptures.

In this article I am going to address many of those things that should be noticed and said so that people of the world would know that not only are the rights of  lgbtq people in Islam abused but also their punishment is death mostly:
Qur’an 27:54-58 (27:54) We also sent Lot,67 and recall when he told his people: “Do you commit shameless acts with your eyes open?
68 (27:55) Do you lustfully approach men instead of women? Nay, you engage in acts of sheer ignorance.”69 (27:56) But this had only one answer from his people. They said: “Expel Lot’s folk from your city. They pretend to be absolutely clean.” (27:57) Eventually We saved (Lot) and his family, except his wife. We had decreed that she should be among those who would remain behind.
70 (27:58) And We rained down upon them a rain. It was an evil rain for those who had already been warned.
Sunan abi Dawud 4462(also sunan ibn makah 2561): The Prophet (ﷺ) said: If you find anyone doing as Lot’s people did, kill the one who does it, and the one to whom it is done.
Abu Dawud said: A similar tradition has also been transmitted by Sulaiman b. Bilal from ‘Amr b. Abi ‘Umar. And ‘Abbad b. Mansur transmitted it from ‘Ikrimah on the authority of Ibn ‘Abbas who transmitted it from the Prophet (ﷺ). It has also been transmitted by Ibn Juraij from Ibrahim from Dawud b. Al-Husain from ‘Ikrimah on the authority of Ibn ‘Abbas who transmitted it from the Prophet (ﷺ).
Even calling someone a homosexual is considered a crime in Islam: Sunan ibn makah 2568: It was narrated from Ibn Abbas that the Prophet ﷺ said: “If one man says another: ‘O effeminate one!’ give him twenty lashes. And if one man says to another: ‘O homosexual!’ give him twenty lashes.”
Punishment for homosexuality in Islam: Mashaket al-masabih 3583-3584: Ibn ‘Abbas and Abu Huraira reported God’s Messenger as saying, “Accursed is he who does what Lot’s people did.” In a version by him on the authority of Ibn ‘Abbas it says that ‘Ali had the two people concerned burned and that Abu Bakr had a wall thrown down on them.
